Getting $25/hour for 40 hours a week like I do!

+1

Oh- please don't be so short sighted. You guys pat yourselves on the back for a dollar figure- but your job is leading nowhere. If you don't have a degree- then it's awesome. But please think about your retirement, pension, job protection, professional development.
I was a nanny and will go back to the job (note- not career) once my vested pension maxes out and I have a set figure in my 403b.
Your job is fun and helps the families- but please don't lose sight of the fact that it's essentially part time work.

the parents are having hard time finding a nanny now which I don't care.
so if you want your nanny to stay longer pay and treat her well.

This is very good advice for most parents on this forum.

Agree.

Agree with what?
Bumping and old thread?

Bumping an old thread so you can again say Pay Me Mire Money mantra.

The only way I have overpaid anyone is if I see them outperforming. Outperforming their rank and outperforming their basic duties. Then I overpay, not at the onset. At onset I pay market until you prove yourself.

Good strategy when you hire newbies without references.

So many fake our references. We found talking with the Dad Boss to be most helpful. No sugar coating.

How do you fake your reference?
