She's a MB, not a Nanny. |
I disagree. The best nannies do get $25. an hour for one child. |
Hahha. you know what is better than getting $25/hour 20 hours a week?
Getting $25/hour for 40 hours a week like I do! |
No, she isn't. She'd like you to think that, but she isn't an MB. |
+1 |
That seems high but it depends on the nanny, how much you like her, etc. Nannies aren't widgets, and some can certainly command $25/hour and some can't. You have to decide.

Is this an after preschool position where she will need to pick up your daughter?
If so $25 isn't that unusual. I would counter somehwere in the middle maybe $20. |
There aren't that many good nannies. If there were, there wouldn't be so many parents complaining on this forum.
Don't be stupid, OP. |
I'd laugh at $25/hr for one child and send her on her way. In my experience the nannies that ask for too much pay also tend to have entitled attitudes!
Sorry but the supply of people looking for nanny jobs high! Next! |
Revolving nanny door. Newest parenting technique. |
It isn't a revolving nanny door if the candidate isn't offered the job because her rates are too high. $25/hr for a preschooler is way too high, especially for a P/T position. |
FYI, PT positions command a higher hourly rate, not lower, Einstein. |
I am a great nanny with great references. I am working part time taking care of 4 years old girls for more than a year. I am only paid $15 hr so leaving the job next week..
the parents are having hard time finding a nanny now which I don't care. so if you want your nanny to stay longer pay and treat her well. |
This is very good advice for most parents on this forum. |
Agree. |
