What area do you work and what are your duties, I don't know any nannies who make that much. Lucky you

NP but I make $58,000 so almost the same. My kids are older and my duties are very basic. No housework, but me and the kids tidy up together every few days, basically chores. I cook full meals from scratch and clean the dishes we use, but the parents never leave me dirty dishes or a full dishwasher. We spend a lot of time outside and doing activities so I stay active. Obviously salary is more dependent on the family than the location.

and how did you get this seemingly amazing gig?

I am happy that you are content with your salary, but it is not that amazing. I teach in DC and make 85K. I have summers and breaks off work. I also am building a pension ect.

I am not trying to turn this into an anti nanny thing- but 60K with no retirement is not a long term solution. Jobs are much more than take home salary.
