I'm a former nanny with two tattoos. im about to get a third as well. I'm not low income. I'm a dental hygienist and never had a problem getting a job in that field with my tattoos.
I don't know many people my age who DONT have tattoos. Although I'm from Australia and people are a lot less judgemental there. I definitely discovered that when I first moved here.

Also had my nose and lip pierced throughout high school and look I didn't turn out to be a drop kick
Some people need to get off their high horses and realize that whether or not someone has piercings, tattoos or bubblegum pink hair does not define them as a person. Sure it expresses their personality to an extent but you can find much much worse people that look like your cookie cutter, straight edge "professional" type

Pierce what you want. If your employer (any employer in any field) hates it they will fire you. If they like it, they won't. End of debate.
