Over heard nanny bad mouthing previous employers

My nanny talks crap about the other family in our nanny share. It makes me very uncomfortable. I assume she talks smack about me to the other mom.

As long as you treat her fairly, she most likely will not ever say anything like that about you.

I am a nanny who had families from hell. And yes, I talk about them when I am conversing with my close friends.
I also have had families I love dearly. With those families I would NEVER say a negative word. EVER.

OP: I agree you should talk to her about it.

To not do so if its still bothering you would be crazy and sure to doom your working relationship. Give her a chance to allay your fears.

It doesn't mean she will do it to every family she is with. She may have been commiserating with a friend or any number of circumstances that might cause us to do/say one thing we instantly know we should not have. Life goes on.
