End of covid gift for nanny RSS feed

Anonymous
Thinking ahead a bit but our nanny has been so amazing this last year handling all the closures/isolation and having DH and I both home. As well as basically quarantining on weekend to protect our newborn. We’d like to get her something special as a gift. Any suggestions (aside from a bonus which we are planning to give her)?

Bonus or time off. That’s it. That’s the only thing people want.

Along w/her bonus, maybe a homemade card from your child(ren) if old enough.

Am not sure what her hobbies are, but here are a few suggestions:

• If she is an avid reader, perhaps a magazine subscription or a new release novel in her favorite genre.
• Adult coloring books
• Does she enjoy cooking? A cookbook containing fun recipes would be a great gift idea.

Etc.
Hope this helps!!

I think time off beats any gift card or gift! If you can swing it, maybe give her a Friday and Monday off so she can have a 4 day weekend.

Very Thoughtful gesture, OP, no matter what you choose.

We are going to give a week's bonus, and send our nanny to a hotel with a spa for a long weekend. Like Friday - Monday.

Pay her health insurance premium in full.

Nanny here. Extra time off is always appreciated

$$$$$$. That's it. Noone wants your cute gifts when they make less money than you. If you want to do something else in addition to extra money, that's fine.

OP clearly stated this gift was in addition to a cash bonus.

Sheesh... some of you can’t read.
