As paid holidays? |
Yes, of course. We also invited nanny to our house for Thanksgiving dinner but she is going out of town. |
I’ve always had both days off with pay. |
If you get them off, why wouldn't you? I will never understand why so many Nanny employers want to wring every penny out of their nanny as opposed to treating them as you would wish to be treated! |
Yes.
I got both of those days as holidays from my job, therefore so does our nanny. I (and she) get Friday off in lieu of Veteran's Day earlier this month. The nanny gets paid (and the day off) for all the 10 federal holidays I receive. She also gets the week between xmas and New Years (or 3 extra days - depending how the holidays fall.) |
No. DH and I will be working. |
It really depends on your work schedule . I work Black Friday and so does my husband so it is in our contract that she gets thanksgiving day paid not Friday off. |
No, our nanny is traveling with us. |
Lucky you. Poor nanny. |
Eh. 1. Our nanny is not American and does not care about Thanksgiving. 2. We give two other consecutive days off when we're home. |
You're right that being an indentured servant for you is nothing to be thankful for. |
Yes. I am off on Friday but DH has to work. I love my days with my son! And our nanny works so hard during the week that she deserves a four day weekend. |
Thursday yes, Friday no. My husband and I don't have Friday off and will have to work. Our nanny gets all Federal holidays off.
|
You sound like a very considerate Nanny employer. |
Yes. We don't have Friday off and needed to use leave, but we wanted her to have a four day weekend. |
