I should note that my home is equipped with cameras. Most morning, I may need help getting kids dressed especially in the summer (brush teeth, washed up, dressed), fixing lunch bags for next day, washing their lunch bag containers and water bottles, gathering snacks and water for outings, periodic errands (seldom), etc. Kids activities should also include library story time, library events, attend and host playdates, reading to the kids, pool days in the summer, etc. Also, not required, I would like my nanny to travel (take vacations) with us. |
| It is also illegal. |
|
How is it illegal
9.25*40 + 13.88*10 = 508.08 Pretty safe to believe they would actual pay that rather than risk paying below minimum wage to save 8.80 a week. |
It is illegal to quote a nanny a salary rather than hourly wage. Nannies, are by law, hourly employees. And is 9.25 minimum wage where this poster is living because it is not in my state. |
| Look, there are horrid and out-of-touch people everywhere. If this parent thinks she can get someone decent for $9.80 an hour - let her try. She will learn. |
| I want to hear from a parent who can justify paying $10/hr (what this averages out to) for full time care for 3 children and demanding everything this parent list. Seriously, what is going through your mind?! |
Who cares? Like PP said there are horrid and out-of-touch people everywhere. She will learn... |
I’m curious and would love to hear from a family looking for this. I don’t think these families learn as there are nannies who take these positions and someone keeps sharing these terrible jobs. |
|
Is the family’s phone no.# listed?
If so, OP you may get in trouble. And they will get tons of bitter phone calls! That is a ton of work AND responsibility. And there are cameras as well!! No way would I work for such low pay if I am being recorded as well.

Yeah, we know, Weird Every-Sentence-Is-A-Paragraph poster, you hate audio on with home cameras. We know... Everyone knows... Dear God in heaven, we all know... |
| To all the parents that are asking for so much and are paying low money. stop it. Your nanny will never stay long with you. |
You are right but don't argue. Let the parents find out for themselves. |
Funny post, OP. Thanks for sharing! It’s always nice to have a good laugh in the morning

| You all should respond and say I'm interested, but just want to clarify you made a typo. You meant $800/week, right? |
