Hi , whenever my employee travel they pay me. I (for myself)have only one week of vacation.
Whenever, I try to talk with them that I need one more week of vacation or sick days they tell me I have bonus vocation. Since, they travel and pay me
If they travel it’s not my vocation. I am ready to work those days.
Any idea how I tell them there bonus is not any help for me.

No , they travel on Dec or January.It’s very cold and I don’t want go anywhere when it’s cold like that. I want to use my paid time on summer. Or when I am sick I don’t have any sick day off

You want two weeks of your choice and any weeks they take, correct? I think it’s fair to get paid any time they go away, but t think you should get only one week of your choosing. Are you the same nanny that wants to be paid for federal holidays?

I get three weeks PTO/flex time. Ideally I coordinate my time off and take trips when they do, though that's not always the case if I need a different day off here or there. Of course my family gives me at least 3 months notice about when they'll be away so I have time to plan something for myself.

First, it is vacation not vocation. Second, you do get paid time off when they travel. I doubt you are going to get a second week of your choosing. You should have more PTO/sick days, however.

Unfortunately, they inform me two weeks before they travel. So, it’s hard to go anywhere with reasonable price. If I plan atleast one month before I can find good deals for traveling.
But they don’t inform me in advance. Just two weeks before.

Correct, I am the one. I talk with them about federal holidays OR one week vacation.
They told me I already have bonus vocation. They pay me when they travel.
It’s going to be two year with them. I don’t want to leave the family. I love my charge so much.

You work part time, so I think one week of vacation of your choosing is fair. Federal holidays should be paid, only if they fall on a work day. I think you are better off looking for a new job, and this time negotiate a contract.

Thanks, well I work 32 hours and some weeks I work 36 hours.

It is standard to only get one week of your choosing for vacation, and another week guaranteed of their (not there as you write) choosing. When you want to ask for additional time off, you ask for another day or two, not another week.

You should get sick days though, but those are only to be used if you are severely ill, not just bc you want a mental health day.

I agree with PP, I think you should just look for a new job. We all love our charges, and you can still see them, but this is your job/career and you have to look out for yourself first. I will add that you are unlikely to get the benefits and pay that some nannies get due to your English. I’m not sure what other qualifications you have, but your English stands out in all your posts.

Are you .... unaware you could travel to a warm climate during December or January?

Tell them that this summer you want to take two weeks off. One week paid and one week unpaid. Let them know a few months in advance so they can make other arrangements for childcare for the two weeks you will be gone.
