Heck no you don't need to pay overtime. The nanny's day ends at 6. You were home at 6. If you pay overtime because for once in a blue moon you got home right at quitting time, then she might start thinking that 5:40 must be her quitting time since you usually show up at that time. Then she will start wanting her palm to be greased every time you get home at 5:45.
