Starting to hate the NF

I love my charges. But I'm starting to hate their parents. As time goes on I find myself more annoyed by them. They are picky and demanding. It didn't start out that way and they started to try to "job creep." I feel like they never do anything. She works from home and leave me her breakfast and lunch messes on the counter. They already have a lawn service, maid, pool guy and a nanny. When they tell me how much they need me to come in on a weekend to help them load their car for another vacation I feel like screaming "You can pack your own Fucking car." Like how hard is it? All theiir we need you to stay late and then they are sitting there watching TV or napping I just want to explode. Oh any each time I get a text....which is all day long....I want to throw my phone. "If you have time..." "Can you stay late?" Blah blah. Anybody else just start to not like their bosses? Yes I know I'll probably be flamed but I just had to vent. I am currently looking for a new job. I feel bad for their next nanny. Seriously.

I am currently going through the same thing. MB & MD get my under my skin so much. Sometimes I feel like they sit and think of all these things to ask me to do. I was told when I started I didn't have to deal with the cats. Now it's constantly asking me to clean their boxes and brush them. Ew. They always want these insane hours and really get upset when I can't or won't do them. Like you I'm so out of here when my contract is up.

LOL. I don't mind my MB but OMG my DB. I don't know how he gets paid. He's always at home puttering around and making messes. It gets the kids upset when he wont play with them but is just around the house. My favorite though is when he leaves surprises in the toilet for me. FLUSH toilet!!!

I get weary with every pronouncement of MB due to some knee-jerk reaction to something she read on the internet. Like "Fabric softener is so bad!" so I have to stop using it - which means I have to iron most of my charge's pants and shorts or he looks ratty and his clothes are so rough on his skin. She has a new one pretty much every day and none of them ever pass the common sense test (how many illness and deaths have been attributed to non-scent fabric softener?).

I get what my grandmother used to call " a face" on me when dishes are left in the sink or their laundry is left in the washing machine. They get the point and don't do it again for awhile.

I have learned with my MB/DB that I cannot ever say "That's okay" to anything they apologize for - like leaving dishes in the sink - even though I feel a "that's okay" is a logical rejoinder to an "I'm sorry"! They assume it means it is okay that they continue doing it.

I left after my last NF asked me to clean the fish tank. The fish had died on a Friday night and they left them in there all weekend. They asked me to do it when I came in on Monday.

What possessed me to agree I'll never know. But the crusty panties and disgusting toilet was enough for me to never look at previous MB in the eyes again.

I had one job where I worked Monday thru Thursday. On a Friday, the charge/baby had a massive blow-out in the stroller and the MB/DB left the dried and crusted fecal matter in the stroller for me to clean on Monday morning. I gave my notice the same day.

Ugh. I thought I was the only one who had to deal with stuff like that. My MB constantly moves things around in the kitchen and gets annoyed if I put things away in the wrong spot. How am I supposed to know? I only had one gross thing happen to me though.. I only do my charges laundry and all the towels. The basket of towels is sometimes in their room. One time I went to toss the towels in the wash from the basket and two porn DVDs fell out. I was horrified. I put them on their bed and they never said anything to me about it.

I would be horrified too, because if the DVDs are in with the pile of dirty towels, I would assume I am laundering some bodily fluids I'd rather avoid

Leave their dishes on the counter.

Why would they even ask you to come and help them load their car? Say NO.
