| I have been in a Nanny Share for two months and was told yesterday it is not a good fit. Can I apply for unemployment? |
|
Where are you?
What did your agreement say? |
| I'm so sorry, OP. |
| What were the reasons? If it is not something you directly did, I believe you can. |
| McDonalds is hiring, why do you need unemployment? |
| You can always apply for unemployment. It's up to them to decide if you can receive it. There are a lot of variables involved. But I would apply if I were you. |
Agree. Always apply. |
| Doesn't hurt to apply, it might be a safety net if you don't find something right away. Apply for Snap benefits too. Good luck! |
You shouldn't "always apply" for welfare. There should rightly so be a sense of shame in requiring welfare and you should apply for it just because you were let go from being a nanny. Any nanny can EASILY find a new job, either as a nanny (easy) or in any other service/sales field (very easy) such as McDonalds, JC Penny, etc. |
| I am not applying for welfare. I hope I find something soon. Thank you for the advice. |
Unemployment is not welfare. A job at McDonalds, JC Penny etc is not easy to get. Finding a quality job as a nanny depending on your market is not always easy. |
| Im in Va. No it was nothing I did. |
Sorry, but you are stupid if you think unemployment is welfare. I've known some rich people collecting unemployment, while the nanny was providing childcare for them. |
No "rich" person is going to go through the effort of collecting unemployment for $370 a month. |
You'd be surprised at what I've seen rich people do. |
