I don't get how one person can't support a spouse and one child. Mom could take in another child for extra money. But then they couldn't afford you! And she didn't go to college to babysit her own kid, right?

I do not have the day off on Friday even though the mom I work for has the day off. It stinks for me, but I totally understand from her end. She is paying me whether she has me come in or not and parents deserve some "me time" and friend time too. I had new years eve day off as well as new years day and I'm just thankful to have those days off. It also helps that I only have to go in half day Friday.
