You are an idiot. You are nanny that’s all - not a family member. You can hug but keep your lips away from my baby |
I feel so sorry for your baby (and nanny). Another mother here and I love that our nanny kisses, hugs, cuddles and loves my baby. |
Troll. No one is this vile. |
I will ignore your offensive comments. I'm so proud of myself; I'm not like you. I have a good heart; and I just can say that, I feel so sorry for you; as a mom and as a human being. I hope someday your heart can be healed. |
+1. I’m hoping she’s a troll. If not, what an ugly human. |
I'm fine with hugging, but kissing is not appropriate, especially post-pandemic. |
I couldn’t disagree more. Kissing is vitally important and appropriate. Should the nanny tell the baby not to kiss her? I can’t even imagine.., |
I swear there are some idiot nannies here. If I were ever requested not to kiss a kid, I wouldn't. There's nothing wrong with a parent asking this. People who disagree or violate the request need some help. |
Not from a nanny. It is important from parents. |
NP I disagree too. What other nanny supposed to do when the baby tries to kiss her? Turn the baby away? Say “no”? Before I left work on Friday my 17 month old charge was eating dinner in her high chair and said, “nanny, kiss head” and tilted the top of her head toward me. The baby’s mother loved it! |
I can kiss and I can stay away from kissing, but I'd like to hear from the parents what they prefer and not from relatives.
There are other way to show that you care. |
Maybe it's just a cultural thing, it is whatever people grow up with that they feel comfortable.
Some cultures don't kiss kids as liberally as American culture does. |
Right or wrong, I couldn’t not kiss a baby. It’s automatic - pick the baby up and kiss the cheek. I don’t think I could stop if I tried. |
+100 |
I wouldn’t take the job.
I’d take it as a sign NF is gonna be weird about me showing affection. I never kiss babies on the face, but head. Yeah. |
