I kiss and hug my charges and former charges all the time and they kiss and hug me. I couldn’t work any other way. It’s human affection.
I'm fine with hugging, but kissing is not appropriate, especially post-pandemic.
I couldn’t disagree more. Kissing is vitally important and appropriate. Should the nanny tell the baby not to kiss her? I can’t even imagine..,
Not from a nanny. It is important from parents.
NP I disagree too. What other nanny supposed to do when the baby tries to kiss her? Turn the baby away? Say “no”? Before I left work on Friday my 17 month old charge was eating dinner in her high chair and said, “nanny, kiss head” and tilted the top of her head toward me. The baby’s mother loved it!
