Parents should compromise + want a happy Nanny.

What Nanny would want to sit around the house all day long??

If a parent is nervous about the Nanny driving her child places, then the parent can ask the Nanny to bring in a current DMV printout of her driving record.


Bottom line:
Happy Nanny = Happy Child.
Win win.

To me the bottom line is, If I can't trust my nanny to drive my children thrn why would I trust her to stay with them at all?

PP, you are doing your baby a huge disservice. He should be out and about seeing other babies, doggies, fire trucks, etc. Library story times are amazing is teaching shared focus and love of books. After the baby’s six month vaccines, it’s good to take her out.


Your child will be behind those her age if you keep this up.

I'm a former nanny and now pediatrician. I'm pretty sure I know more than you do about child development. And no, I've never seen a baby be delayed because their nanny wasn't allowed to take them to story time or gymboree. But keep pushing your agenda on the parents here; Maybe back it up with some evidence one of these times though?

The nannies here are just ridiculous. If this was actually a reflection of nannies in the real world, no one would every hire one.

You clearly know nothing about babies and actual childcare. If you are a reflection of an actual nanny I know exactly the jobs you take.

Yeah we all believe you were a nanny and now a pediatrician. And even if you were, unless you are providing care for every single child in the world your knowledge of child care is just that, your knowledge. But more likely you are just a troll.
