OP here. My employers did not buy the phone nor do they pay for it. I have to charge my phone when my charge is napping (which she was) or it will die. I only use it when she is awake to take photos of her. I am older and just not a phone-all-the-time person.

I know I did nothing wrong and this was a violation of my privacy. Thank you all. Yes, I did give notice.


How did she respond when you gave notice?

Angry. OP here. I have a feeling she is going to send me home tomorrow as soon as I arrive. She thinks she did nothing wrong. She is playing the victim.

The employer was totally out of line to snoop on the nanny's phone. What a violation!!

You think she’ll have you drive to work so that she can regain some power by sending you home? Peace out! Good for you, OP; that woman sounds nuts!

Maybe you posted about having a nanny friend that your boss doesn’t like??? If so, you definitely made the right choice!
