Kids are supposed to fall. That’s why God made them so low to the ground. You and your MB are kind of overreacting if you are both so upset about this. |
OP here. I am reacting to changing my usual behavior to let a charge do something I feel is unsafe. I should only listen to my own judgement when she is in my care. |
This is a valuable lesson, OP. Trust your gut at all times. |
It’s just a skinned knee. Skinned knees are part of childhood. |
Ok. I guess I just don’t understand why you are acting like this is a bad thing. Wouldn’t it be worse if she never skinned her knee? And it’s weird that her mother is being cold to you over it. |
| I think every child in the world has experienced a skinned knee, s**t happens. I watched a kid who fell and nearly knocked out a front tooth. The tooth turned grey, killed the nerve in the tooth. The mom said, it could of just as easily happened on her watch. |
This. Your MB is parenting the child she wants to have and not the child she has. Always trust your nanny-sense. |
I worked for an MB like that. Twin toddlers never left the house because mom was way too paranoid! |
