thanks for the explanation of acronyms.

Using them is just quicker than posting full terms |
| You are the Help, a means to an end and are rarely appreciated. Stop kidding yourself. |
| Let me guess PP, You are an MB |
My child doesn't see her beloved nanny that way so I don't either. |
|
Anyone who sees their nanny as 'The help' and who doesn't appreciate them deserves to get a terrible nanny who leaves them high and dry.
Also PP, it shouldn't take your child not seeing your nanny like that for you to feel you should also see her the same way. You should have appreciated her from the start, you obviously employed her for a reason. |
|
In our case the nanny has stopped cleaning up, forgets sunscreen, doesn't take a lot of care feeding our kid, etc. It's been under two years. I'm not really sure what to do. If anything we have become nicer to her. I've had a couple of talks before about things but it led to no improvement.
|
| Get rid then PP. Don't keep her on and treat her unfairly. The set up isn't working so find someone else who you want in your house and who you can appreciate and like. |
| 1237 I am a nanny. If I consistently forgot sunscreen or were not feeding my charges well I would deserve to be let go. If you have talked to her with no improvement, maybe she is burned out, and needs to find other employment. Or doesn't care. Either way no sunscreen=potential skin cancer,so it would be non negotiable. Same with mealtimes. |
| Fact is 12.37, you have already spoken to her about these issues and how serious it is and if she is failing to takr what you say on board then she needs to go. You can't use her being useless at her job as an excuse to be a poor employer. |
| 12:37 here - thanks to the PPs for the sanity check. |
