How much are LCCs paid? RSS feed

I posted this above but it got lost. Look at Apia. I know for sure that their Lccs - whom they call community counselors- are considered employees with benefits and salaries, not contract workers they way they are in other agencies. The two Apia Lccs in our town have been in this job for 15+ years and are professionals. This is their only job. They are both outstanding. We don't use Apia anymore because we have male APs and Apia doesn't allow them, but I still call my Apia lcc whenever I have questions (and take her out to coffee regularly because she is such an interesting, helpful, and thoughtful person).

And for anyone saying APs aren't fairly compensated, I invite you to do the math and determine how much a young person from abroad could expect to pay for a full year's room and board and then add that to the ~$800 cash they get, plus in many cases access to a car and many other perks. Suck it.

This post is ignorant on every level.

Nice for you that you didn't need your LCC but it's like insurance. When you do need her, it can be intense.

I have an AP because no one would take my part time split schedule job. The idea that it's some amazing cushy job to live with your boss is just stupid. I can't find an American to do it for good reason.

How much were you offering per hour?
