FWIW, I have a nanny cam, and after DH and I were convinced the nanny we'd hired wasn't abusing our baby, we only watched to see the baby. I found myself not watching the nanny at all. The only time we checked to actually watch the nanny was when we noticed our DD goes through a difficult stage personality-wise, to see if she was giving the nanny a hard time, or just us.

Nanny here but same thing. I started working for a family a few years back and initially thought I saw some red flags in terms of possible abuse so I set up a camera as well. Once I realized they weren't mistreating their kids I stopped watching except for when I just wanted to see my charges for a cheer-up. Has nothing to do with mistrust now.

Umm so we are to believe that you placed a hidden camera in SOMEONE else's home without consent? I don't believe this and if you did you should have charges brought against you. As childcare providers we are reporters of abuse. It's not for you to decide just because you want to decide if you like the job. You contact dfacs and let them do the investigating. I'd sue the pants off of you

If you invite me into your home and film me without my knowledge you are violating my privacy as well. End of story.

I have nothing to hide, I just don't want to be on camera all day. I'm glad I asked, because I wanted to make sure we don't have a trust issue. I also really respect her for letting me know. It shows that she also respects me.

I'm that case, she should quit and stat home with her kids.
