You'd probably earn $25-30/ hr. in the DC area. |
| My very first nanny asked for $8 an hour, which was under minimum wage. We paid her $10. This was in an extremely low COL part of the country, though, and it was her first nanny job, just out of high school. |
How long ago? |
She had probably never been paid legally before. |
Just for nanny share ,11/12. |
A nanny share at 11-12/hour? Maybe per family and/or not in the DC area. DC area nanny shares are competitive at $18-20/hour to start, some nannies are willing to accept $15, but it's not competitive. |
Two years ago. And by extremely low COL, I mean that over half the population is under the poverty line. It's a good wage for the area, especially with no work experience. |
yea where is your thinking skills ?? |
GO ahead and Stop it then that's what you do!! If the pay is good you take the job for yourself^^ if the pay is lower you will give it to the Nanny ^^on the schedule Cheapo !!we know what you do!! |
Absolutely you are right about that !!
|
Again bastard it is not your dumb business to know what the competitive salary or not let me worry about it lifeless !! I don't need your dumb business anymore |
|
$30+ an hour for two kids? You're crazy. |
Let me spell out what I (immediate PP) stated. A nanny share of $11-12/hour ($5.50-6/hour per family) is extremely low for the DC area. $11-12/hour per family would be slightly above market, but still acceptable. DC area nanny share are competitive at $18-20/hour ($9-10/hour per family) to start, some nannies are willing to accept $15/hour ($7.50/hour per family), but it's not competitive. Is that clear now? |
