Again, PP, you are blaming the nanny. I have no clue why you would do that to yourself as a nanny.

And no one becomes a nanny because they think it is "easy". And not all families are worth "integrating" into nor do all families want to integrate the nanny.

I agree with the above PP's - as a nanny I will and have done anything and everything for my charge. I go above and beyond every day for him. I limit my largess to him and him alone. My employers are my employers and nothing more.

If you have found (or think you have found) something different in being part of the family - that's fine. But please do not judge me as a nanny for my devotion to my charge and NOT his parents.

We, nannies, work with children - not grown adults who should know how to manage employees better.

I have a very friendly and warm relationship with our nanny but she is not "integrated" into our family. She has a lovely family of her own. I truly believe she is the world's greatest nanny and she does come in at X and leave at Y - no mess, no fuss - Monday through Friday. She is never late and neither are we.

Our nanny truly loves my child and loves her job - you can see it in her face. But she isn't a housekeeper or the family "helper" - she is an educated and experienced nanny. Which is exactly what I wanted.

And yes, you do sound very young and immature, PP. I would be uncomfortable having a nanny who needed approval as badly as you seem to.

First and foremost, she should NEVER have had you care for a sick child.

Second since your idiot boss made you do so, then she should have prepared ahead of time that it was only a matter of time before you yourself fell ill.

She expects you to care for an ill child, then magically not catch any of his germs.
