How many nannies have you had?

Pp you don't need to justify anything. You can fire for any reason what so ever. Years ago I replaced a nanny who was fired for sending a young child to bed with miss matched pajamas.

That must have been an exciting position.

It lasted 6 weeks ! The 4 yr old informed me about the pajamas. " make sure I wear matching pajamas or mommy will fire you " oh the things you wish you knew before starting a job.

So what did you get fired for?

I quit because the 4 yr old was so abusive . I was hit daily, cursed out constantly, and she would spit in my face. Not to mention being told everyday how I was going to be fired like all the others. So glad I quit.

This is why I like to know a tiny bit of family history with nannies. If I were applying to work for you only knowing you had 4 previous nannies would concern me, But having the reasons why they left it gives more perspective and I would feel comfortable with the number of nannies in this situation.

As a nanny I know the relationship doesn't last forever, but I try my best to avoid families that change nannies like they change underwear.

You know that people like that are unlikely to tell you the truth?

Many families, not all, hire nannies with the attitude that they can just let them go and be easily replaced. Thank God that not everyone is that ignorant.
