Why don't you just bring what you want for the day?

I do. why is that weird? I eat breakfast before I leave for work and dinner when I come home so I pack a lunch and a few snacks like people in almost every other profession

Talk to me about your dietary restrictions. In our family, so many people go through the kitchen. I know it is not minefield I did not buy it but my husband, in laws, my parents do not know. It could've been not MB. Just explain. Or buy a big Tupperware and put your name on top so people don't even go in.

I am a vegan, which means I eat no meat, eggs or dairy. I bring all of my own food, all of which works for my diet. They gave me permission to store food in their refrigerator and pantry.
I feel like I'm constantly missing food items.
I bring a lot of fruits and veggies. MB is constantly using my produce and allowing guests to drink my soda. I came back from a 10 day vacation today to find that my $7 bottle of vegan salad dressing was taken with them on a beach trip. I had to eat dry lettuce and veggies for lunch. I have to very carefully plan my meals and when I'm missing a key ingredient to my meal, it throws everything off. I can't just scrounge something up for lunch.
I will occasionally text MB to ask if she knows where my food went, but she doesn't seem to take the hint.
I have no problem being direct and asking her to leave my food alone, I just don't want to sound like a petty jerk. I don't want to put labels on things, as that seems like a jerk move. The things they use are not things MB buys, so she isn't mistaking them for hers.
Any advice on how to tactfully ask them to keep their mitts off my food?

They aren't your personal food storage.... If you are so detailed and planned out with all these ingredients why don't you just store it in your own home and bring the things you want each day?

Who said anything about we storing her personal food for a week?
It said they eat things like her salad dressing and soda. A bottle of salad dressing and a couple of soda's is all of her food for a week?
Are you drunk?

It's still pretty weird. Most people take their lunch for the day and that's it.

you are an idiot for leaving it there when you know they eat your food. Start bring what you need every day. In the meantime, present her with a bill for what she owes you for pigging out on your food..

Exactly. It's not at all professional to clog up your NFs fridge with bottles and cans and other food. I don't see why you can't bring your lunch, a little tupperware cup of dressing, and a can of soda with you each day.

You're an idiot because the thread is over a year old

The thread is over a year old, and I have to wonder if it's been revived in response to the "Nanny is eating our food" threads.

Please name one topic that is no longer an issue on this forum. No doubt some nannies are still dealing with their employers' skid marked underwear, don't you think?
