Everyone is so ballsy when they can hide behind their computer and bash other people because no one knows who they are. Grow the hell up!!!!! You guys take care of CHILDREN and yet you sit on a online forum and bash people that you don't even know. Get a life and move the hell on. If you don't like OP's post then MOVE THE HELL ON and don't comment. Going back and forth isn't going to get you anywhere.

Also, PP's who keep bringing up "if you worked in an office, you wouldn't go to your boss about these things"......being a nanny is VERY different then having a boss in an office. As a nanny, you are in their home all day, every day. You are taking care of their kids, meeting relatives, meeting friends, etc. This is no where even close to being the same as working in an office and having a boss. I'm sorry that you guys apparently aren't close with your bosses. That must suck to take care of someones kids and not even be able to talk to your boss/joke around, etc.

+1000. OP, first of all, let me say I'm sorry for your breakup. I'm sure this is a difficult time for you. Second of all, I think honestly only you can answer this question. It sounds like you have a really good relationship with you MB/DB and if they know your ex then I think the time to tell them is when YOU want to. If you aren't ready to talk about it/tell them, then wait. If you feel like you want to tell them then do. Honestly, there is no right or wrong here. I know a lot of PP feel it's not professional to talk about your personal life at work but a nanny position is SO completely different from a corporate job. And really, even in a corporate job if you were friendly with your boss and your boss frequently went to dinner with you and your significant other it wouldn't be inappropriate to tell them if you broke up either.
