I'm a 23-year-old college student who has had a passion for working with children since I was 14. I'm looking to relocate to the NYC area around the beginning of June (the exact date is flexible). I’m currently in school part time studying pediatric nursing and I'm hoping to find a job as a nanny. I’m open to a nanny share as well. I have 8 years of nanny/babysitting experience with children from newborn to 13 years old and have also worked at a home day care center. In addition, I have certifications in First-Aid, CPR/AED and excellent references that I can provide upon request.

I am a very patient, mature person with a positive attitude and a great personality who absolutely loves children and working as a nanny. My goal as a nanny is to develop a kind and loving relationship with every child I care for while encouraging them to become caring and responsible individuals. I love to interact with children and do not believe in sitting them in front of the TV. Some of the activities I like to do with children are: reading books, singing songs, taking walks, going to parks/playgrounds, having play dates, working on the ABC’s and baking.

Thanks for your help and I hope you get better....

Also every time I try to post pictures they always never approve them. My redpferences are on there but I don't think they ever contacted them.

I've posted a link to my profile below. I would really like some honest opinions on how to attract more jobs. Everytime I post on here I get no responses.

Yes, OP. You did write "approve" when you meant "improve."

+1

OP, why would you say you "admit you're a great writer"???

OP is just not that smart. And yes, you should be able to TEACH the children you nanny. "My" 5 y/o knows his spelling and homonyms much better than this 23 y/o. Improve and approve, I don't even know what to say about that. Would you seriously want to hire her as your nanny? If so, hire her, otherwise don't help her fool someone else into thinking she has enough intelligence to do a proper job. There are plenty of low paying "nanny" jobs out there, or should I say their/ they're, for someone of this capacity. She doesn't even understand the corrections! If you are foreign OP, I apologize and rescind my comments. If not, look up rescind!

My hesitation to go through your profile and tell you exactly what to write is this:
Then the families aren't getting you. They're getting the altered, edited-by-me you.

This is the OP- First of all I'm writing from a Ipad which is constantly auto correcting everything I write its helpful sometimes, sometimes not. Second of all I was at work and rushing to type this while my charge was napping. Honestly it's quite annoying how everything someone posts on this forum finds a way to go sour. Like every other post. It's sad... We're adults not in high school. Even though I'm not perfect might not be the best speller, and all that crap but I have plenty of people who Still don't give a damn and know I still take great care of every child I watch flaws and all. My current employer picked me out of 15 other applicants AND I don't drive which is what she was originally was looking for and I'm not low paid...

I've been with Care for over a year and have only got one job...They also say to update photo...I do....and they don't approve also!!! I've tried several different pictures and won't approve...I wonder if the computer system is screwed up. All my photos are decent looking pics, so I don't get it either!!!!
