| I'm in the process of obtaining my learner s permit and then after that I need to have it for I believe 6 months to have a license. |
Thank you. I will admit I'm a great writer but just horrible at editing my writing. Also when you say delete the WHOLE second paragraph are you sure I sure delete the whole things also what parts should I leave in. |
|
MB here. I don't think you need to get rid of the second paragraph. If people are interested, they'll keep reading.
I do agree about editing it -- get a friend to help. Also, the no car thing probably isn't a deal-breaker in NYC. Your ad looks good to me; start replying to job listings that interest you, and see what happens! |

You need:
a professional picture background check at least one review fill out ALL the sections and EDIT! Your Bio doesn't flow well and needs some serious editing. Have someone else look it over. If your relocating to NYC a driving license won't effect job offers. Have a professional resume, portfolio and references that you can email easily. Sign up with online mom groups/blogs like park slope and create an ad on there You need to have a definite living arrangement set up that you can give parents the general area you will be living at (NYC is big) UNLESS your looking for live in. High paying jobs in NYC are found via Agency normally. |

Any ideas on how I can make the bio flow easier? Please |
| You want to approve your profile??? |
I think she means improve. Really, OP. PLEASE. Get someone to clean up your profile. You're 23 and in college, and still making a LOT of mistakes. |
I'm the PP who said to ditch the second paragraph. Here's how I would word your bio. Other people may very well have better ideas, but this is what I would do. I've had a passion for working with children since I was 14 and am looking for a full time nanny position where I can put my passion and experience to use. I have eight years of experience working with kids first as a babysitter, then in a daycare and more recently as a nanny which I love. I am CPR certified, trained in first aid and in SIDS. I am currently working toward a degree in nursing and hope to become a pediatric nurse when I am done. I have experience with infants as well as older kids. Some things I like to do include helping infants reach developmental milestones, read and attend story times, go to parks and playgroups, baking and cooking projects etc. in addition to normal nanny duties such as laundry and keeping the toys clean and in good repair. I love children and strive to develop a kind and nurturing relationship with each child. I am a reliable and punctual self starter with great references who are happy to talk with you. I currently live in the DC metro area but am looking to relocate to the NYC area in June though I have a flexible time table. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. |

Here you go OP, I'm on bedrest and bored-
I'm a 23-year-old college student who has had a passion for working with children since I was 14. I'm looking to relocate to the NYC area around the beginning of June (the exact date is flexible). I’m currently in school part time studying pediatric nursing and I'm hoping to find a job as a nanny. I’m open to a nanny share as well. I have 8 years of nanny/babysitting experience with children from newborn to 13 years old and have also worked at a home day care center. In addition, I have certifications in First-Aid, CPR/AED and excellent references that I can provide upon request. I am a very patient, mature person with a positive attitude and a great personality who absolutely loves children and working as a nanny. My goal as a nanny is to develop a kind and loving relationship with every child I care for while encouraging them to become caring and responsible individuals. I love to interact with children and do not believe in sitting them in front of the TV. Some of the activities I like to do with children are: reading books, singing songs, taking walks, going to parks/playgrounds, having play dates, working on the ABC’s and baking. |
This is the Op and I didn't write this... |
| No one cares what you were doing in 2nd grade. Their and there are not the same. Approve and improve are also not the same. You'll admit you are a great writer, seriously? I'm sorry to be so negative, but how can you possibly teach children when you can't even spell? |
she's not applying for a teaching job. she does need to get control if her spelling before becoming a nurse tho. A misspelled word could be potentially life threatening in the medical field. |
For the second time I didn't write that comment.... |
Thank you very much for your help...I really appreciate it honestly |
