Where do people look for nanny shares? RSS feed

Specifically I'm looking in the Frederick area. I already tried posting on the DCUM share search board but nobody is getting back to me.

I'd reply to other postings as well. Don't want for them to send you a message based on your post.

But isn't there another type of website where people are looking?

You could try local listserves. I don't think there are a lot of people using nanny care in Frederick, so that may be why you're having difficulty getting a response.

I posted here and also replied to other posters looking for a nanny if they wanted same days/times as me. I posted to my neighborhood list. Posted to Craig's list multiple times. All 4 matches were from here though. But I refreshed regularly and it still took months of diligence. I am not as far out as Frederick but still in an area where nannies and shares are really uncommon.

Why do they have to be the same days/times? You could just as easily do a nanny split (you take MWF, other family takes Tues/Thurs) unless you wanted the other family to host.

^ sure but that is A split not a share. Reason I shared was because I needed FT care and help with Nanny's salary.

I'm aware it's a split. That's why I called it a split.
It was not clear from your post that you wanted full time care.

I'll still ask the question: Why do the days need to match up? You can easily have a nanny M-F and do a share part time. It will take a little bit of negotiating price wise, but it's still possible. Especially if the hours are relatively close.

^ I am Pp who replied about the nanny split. I am not OP. you are right it is possible to match with someone needing different days from you but the most likely case is that they will then need much longer hours (which may be an issue for a nanny) or else not want to contribute as much to the share since they are using the nanny less.
