What are you getting for your Mb and db? RSS feed

Yayyyyy!!!
I just gave MB1 her holiday gift. I knew she needed it, wasn't sure how she's take it, lol. I got her silicone butt pads, and she loved it!! She's been wanting to get surgery for a bigger butt and boobs, so I got the cheapest route, lol. Don't know what I'm getting DB1 though. MB2/DB2 will be getting a hardwood floor vacuum because This Damn Dog sheds like crazy and they never clean up after her.
What are you guys getting/doing for your kids and bosses?

Very strange and personal gift. I'm giving them baked goods, and a free night of babysitting, along with a handmade blanket for each of the kids and a bed time book.

+1 What a bizarre (and insulting) gift.

I think I'll get DB a personalized silicone iPhone case with pics of the LO... I wanted to get him a personalized sports bottle but I can't find the right type.

I might get MB a photo calendar or cube or something along the lines.

Employees do not buy presents for employers. Baked goods are fine. Your gift, OP, was most inappropriate.

The nanny/employer relationship is different than your typical office job. Can we stop trying to apply the same rules please?

In this case, those rules should apply. A baked gift or something made with the kids is fine. Otherwise, its just weird, especially because the parents are essentially buying themselves a gift they may or may not want.

Uh, a small photo book documenting their son's activities and growth this past year? Employees don't buy employers gifts, even in the nanny world it's not appropriate. I only buy presents for the kids and then only because I love them.

custom pottery barn frame with a picture I took of their daughter. I normally give a picture type gift each years.

Who cares if nannies want to buy employers gifts??? I get my mb flowers every year for her birthday and a Christmas gift because she is awesome and I love my job. I'm not going to stop because other uptight people deem it inappropriate.

I only give gifts to the children. Each time I've given the parents a gift I have gotten fired that very day. No joke. Kind of a kiss of death for me.
