Prenatal vitamins in the bathroom at work! MB has been keeping me posted blow-by-blow on her and DB's long-standing discussion on whether to have a second kid or not. Last I'd heard (after a hellish week long trip I went along with them on where their toddler barely slept or ate) they'd decided no. I'm hoping this means they've changed their mind!

| I was oddly excited when I found out my MB was pregnant as well! I had just been lamenting how grown up my charge was getting, and missing the sweet cuddly baby he used to be (he's still sweet, but so not into cuddling anymore). Come to find out there's another one on the way! |
| People take them when TTC. Doesn't mean she's pregnant |
Yes, Debbie downer, they were trying to decide whether or not to even have a second. This means they're at least trying |
| ...Or she wants her hair to grow longer...Or she's feeling run down from one baby and feels like she needs the vitamin boost...or DB bought them and she isn't taking them. You really have no idea and it's a bit weird that you are so excited, honestly. Keep this to yourself, OP, I'd be very put off were I an MB to know that you were keeping tabs on my health and reproductive habits. |

I take prenatal vitamins and I'm on birth control with no intention of getting pregnant. My aunt, a nurse recommended it. It's actually very common for women who aren't looking to conceive to take prenatal for the added benefits of nice hair and skin.
Maybe she is attempting or maybe she's taking them just incase. You are told to take them right before you about to start trying. Good luck. My mb is pregnant now and I'm not very excited but that has to do with the fact their young toddler is challenging and definitely won't adjust well. |
+1 They also have a higher iron content than other multivitamins |
Given that they aren't her normal vitamins, I think it's safe to assume they're related to TTC. And yes, rest assured, I am not going to inform MB that I noticed her prenatals. I'm pretty sure she's already aware they're there

People can be so rude on the board! I would feel excited too op!
|
| Yay OP! How exciting! And talk about job security - assuming MB is not going to quit her job - you'll have 5 full years before the kiddo is in school full time! |
Half the reason I'm excited! Where I live, nanny jobs are hard to find, and nanny jobs where you're paid a fair wage and respected for what you do are even harder. Of course, the other 50% is something along the lines of tiny toes and onesies
|
Yes, this is true. A lot of women take them while they are trying to conceive so they can prepare their bodies to be healthy. Keep your fingers crossed however. It's only a matter of time.

MB here. I suppose this is pretty normal human behavior, and it's nice that the OP is excited about a possible second child, but if I were this MB and discovered this line of discussion/speculation about my EXTREMELY personal business, I would not be ok with it.
Given that the MB in this scenario has apparently been pretty open, maybe it's no big deal. But I find this pretty invasive and inappropriate. |
This just sounds creepy. |
You prunes are so weird!! |
