Oh my gosh. You again? Please, learn the meaning of the word prune. You're making yourself look like an idiot. And to the MB: it's not like OP is calling out her MB. "Jane Smith at 555 Happy Cat Lane is expecting!!!! Put the balloons out front!!" She's excitedly talking about it on an anon forum. She isn't even in the DC area, based on her post that nanny jobs are hard to find in her area. |
Haha I understand the excitement, especially given your close relationship with MB... But I thought I'd add my "Debbie downer" reaction because it did give me a chuckle: I take prenatals and in a virgin! Lol

*I'm, not "in"-- dumb old auto-correct. |
"Prune" MB here.
Yes, perhaps I'm a little too sensitive - I'm sure I would have thought that about me 15 years ago. But that would have been before my long fought battle w/ infertility and all the pain, disappointments, visible and not so visible struggles with that, etc... I'm much more sensitive to how personal and individual a woman's experience w/ pregnancy can be now. I think many mothers who are hiring nannies are older and work full-time outside the home. We're privileged to be able to afford nanny care for our kids. We're also the most likely group to have come by motherhood with more difficulty. I'm quite certain that I wouldn't have been particularly sensitive to (or even slightly aware of) those issues when I was in my 20's. But if I were your boss now and you had the savvy to be sensitive about it, I'd sure appreciate it. That's all I was trying to say. |
And that's completely understandable. But I didn't get the impression that OP was going to burst into their house with her arm full of onesies for the "new baby" she doesn't even 100% know about yet. She was excited. |
| OP, i had my last child 15 yrs ago and I take pre-natal vitamins. |
