Your nanny is an AA woman with a blonde almost bald haircut last week her hair was black and long. Your son is blonde his name is Will. This happened at 10:30 a.m. at the Palisades storytime. The room was audibly shocked. After spanking him she pretty much dragged him out of there and called him a brat. She behaved like this in public so I can't imagine what happens when no one is around. I don't think any behavior warrants a spanking but he was just being a busy body. She wanted him to sit in a chair and listen to the story which we all know is tough for kids that age.
I know the trolls will come out and deflect but we all should be concerned with the safety of children. This isn't a moms against nannies issue. I've been at home with my kiddos (fed worker) and have observed some awesome nannies on our trips to the park and library as well. There is a sickeningly sweet nanny with a pixie cut who is clearly in love with her kiddo (she calls him Maxinator hahah so maybe his name is Max). There was also another nanny who had the smiliest little guy. She engaged him and was one of the few adults who got up and sang the hokey pokey. We rode the elevator down together and she talked to him like he was an adult very engaging and actually funny to hear. I didn't catch his name but she is a AA woman with darkish bob length hair. Your car has Hawaii license plates. If you are a nanny or mom who attended story time at the Palisades library and know the woman's name or the family she works for please pass this information on. |
Thank you for posting this important info, OP.
Might I add, this abuser was no nanny. Apparently.. |
Oh Snap! |
Huh? |
Thanks for posting OP. Adults have to help watch out for kids. |
just a general discussion point...at what point would you step in and actually say something to the nanny/parent? I would have had a hard time holding my tongue watching a woman physically and verbally aubse a child... |
When you see a child get slapoed by a caretaker. |
*slapped |
The kid is a brat and needs some discipline. How go you know that the parents haven't instructed her to spank him? You don't. Mind your kid/charge. You are not the police. |
What is an AA woman by the way?
There used to be a website called, "I Saw Your Nanny" where you could report this stuff. Unfortunately, it went out of business. We need another one like it to protect our children. Thank you OP for getting the word out. Young children need advocates of their own at this age since they are so vulnerable and defenseless. ![]() |
African American |
I am the OP. If the parents are okay with the nanny spanking their child I take no issue with it. Most parents aren't okay with corporal punishment and if this nanny behaved like this while there were several eyes on her who knows what she does to Will when it's just the two of them. AA is African American. She had an accent so maybe a better description would be islander.
I am going to storytime again today and am prepared to intervene should she even just speak harshly to the boy. I also will talk with the Librarian just in case Will comes in alone with his parents one day. |
You are a busybody, OP. Learn to mind your own business. |
Child abuse and neglect are EVERYONE's business. |
You are disgusting. OP, thank you for posting this. Parents appreciate it. |
