Great Nanny available November 1, 2013 $400/week

Hello.
Dora M. has been a tremendous nanny for my daughter, Lulu, for the past 2.5 years. She is attentive, loving and instructive. She teaches without threats and is quick to protect Lulu from situations/kids who may be violent or poorly behaved. Dora takes Lulu to many libraries, parks, zoos, cafes and other outside activities throughout the week. She has helped Lulu create a positive circle of friends. My sister came to visit about a year ago and went out with Lulu and Dora. She said that based on her observations we were among the luckiest parents given the care and sincere affection that Dora showed to Lulu. Dora speaks Spanish, primarily, and now Lulu can communicate well in Spanish too. Dora is eager to help with light housework, although my husband and I have insisted that she let us do the laundry. Dora knows how important Lulu's nutrition is for my husband and me. She reports on the food that she prepares for Lulu. By the way, Dora VERY often treats Lulu to her homemade Salvadoran cooking including plenty of vegetables, which Lulu loves. My family would be lucky to keep Dora as our nanny, however, we are moving to Jordan at the beginning of November 2013 where Lulu will attend preschool. Dora will be available to serve another family in the DC area (between Gaithersburg--where she lives--and NW DC) as a nanny at the beginning of November. We pay her $400 and she is more than worth it. We've paid the same amount for day care centers but with Dora we don't have to pack anything for Lulu to eat or wear. We don't have to venture out into the winter cold or rain. Dora comes to our home when we are ready to leave for work in the morning and is there when we come home after work. We don't have to pay for extra Metro fares (or calculate extra travel time) to drop off/pick up our daughter and on those few days we are late we don't have to pay outrageous late fees by the minute. She really has been the best we could hope for. Dora has been GREAT for us and very loyal. I am hoping that there is another kind family that is looking to for a top-notch Spanish speaking nanny for the benefit of both sides. OP states that the nanny arrives in the morning and stays until they arrive home from work. Any literate person can assume that OP works full-time.

OP, please go to a different site for this. You will get more professional, kind, people. Not DCUM slum. Also, $400 is fine. None of these nannies have educations so they can't complain. |

Let me get this straight. According to you, there's nothing but slum on DCUM (which, by the way, I think you mean scum. A slum is a poor, overly populated, uneducated neighborhood). The OP is on DCUM, so is therefore "slum." You're also on DCUM. Are you "slum" as well? |
