What I love about my MB/DB RSS feed

So I have worked for some BAD parents!! I mean totally abusive! But I have also worked for some of the most amazing, and appreciative parents too! I currently have two awesome bosses and I wanted to ask everyone what do you LOVE about your boss?(this one or a previous one) lets keep it positive and remember that just because some people shouldn't have kids doesn't mean there are not some great people out there!

#1 thing I LOVE about my MB- she always asks me how I am doing, and tells me how much she appreciates me
#1 thing for DB- I don't see him as often as mom but sometimes he will leave a extra $20 for the baby and I to go get lunch/do a fun zoo day etc.

I know these things may seem small but I feel respected and valued in my job, so what does your current/previous boss(s) do to make you feel happy.

I love your idea of doing a positive post for a change!

currently work for 2 amazing parents! The thing I love most about my job is that I feel truly valued and appreciated. They know I love their boys and would do anything for them so they are constantly telling me how much they trust me and they say thank you EVERY day. Sometimes MB even comes home with sweet treats for me. She has randomly given me flowers, candy, cupcakes and even a super expensive face cream I had mentioned I wanted.

My current position is amazing because my bosses are both hands on with their kids and if they get home early, they want me to leave so I can enjoy my evening and so that they can spend as much time with their kids. They tell me thank you and how much they appreciate how engaging I am with their children. They want me to feel at home while I'm there and encourage me to help myself to anything in the kitchen and to use the tv or iPad when the baby is napping. I finally found a really great position where my bosses are equally as amazing as the kids. I'm very grateful. And so are they.

1) They are by far the most considerate bosses that I have had. I went into our contract meeting prepared to negotiate hard for the things I wanted and hadn't gotten in the past. I read the contract they handed me and it had everything I wanted and more. First time employers and they guaranteed my hours, my vacation is completely of my choosing, etc.

2) They make me feel appreciated every day. I get told multiple times a week how lucky they feel to have found me, they don't try to milk me for every minute and fill my downtime with busy work. Because of this, I am happy coming to work every day and go out of my way to find little ways I can be helpful.

3) They are generally just awesome people that I admire and feel blessed to have in my life! Not to mention they make/raise lovely children.

I love how engaged my bosses are with their kids! They regularly let me leave early (sometimes over an hour early) because they're looking forward to spending more time with them. They are also very communicative with me and with each other which helps prevent any misunderstandings or drama since we are on the same page about everything from what food to serve to which shoes to wear to what we consider appropriate outings. They never try to take advantage of me and go out of their way to overpay me when they're home late (even if it's from a babysitting night). They were out later than planned one evening and I got ticketed for parking too long in a permit spot and they offered immediately to take care of it. They give me great benefits, generous bonuses and holiday gifts, and always consult me (even if they're doing it just to be polite) about issues with the kids. They are the best!

My mb/db are wonderful people. There really are no words to describe how much happier I am with them compared to ANY job/family I've ever had before. I am extremely lucky to be working for them, and they say they are extremely lucky to have me. I hope to be with them for a long time!

MB leaves a thank-you note with my check every week.

I love that MB is finally finished her maternity leave and went back to work after 6 long ass months of being nitpicked and micromanaged. I love that now I only have to see her 5 mins a day and that she is too busy to send me 5 paragraph essays complaining how I do this and that. I love that DB is never home and just let's me do my job.

You misunderstood the point of this thread. Maybe try again or just take it elsewhere.

I love them because the make sure I have garanteed pay 52 weeks a year. Unless I take extra personal time (which I don't) I love that they love their child and it shows in many ways!!

Love my MB and DB because they treat me as a part of the family, make me feel appreciated by just saying a simple thank you, and respect my opinions on things concerning my charge.
