I am starting to think MBs house is haunted
I've heard several times the carpet being crunched down in the hallway and no one is in the hallway (just me and baby charge here).
The dog growls sometimes at the empty hallway as well.
And today I have heard a bell ding and change jingle while baby DC was sleeping and the alarm went off to signal an open door but no one was there. Ten minutes ago I distinctly heard voices in the garage saying ODC name (he is in school). I looked, no one there.
I am so spooked right now

If the temperature drops, grab the baby and Fido and get the heck outta there!

I think my nanny family house is haunted too! I told mb and she believes me, but DB just thinks we're both crazy.

I once read the story "The Expressionless" while DC was napping. HUGE mistake.

Why would a ghost be talking about the kurds who live in the house? Aren't they usually stuck in their own time?

You want no one ever to take the nanny forums seriously?

Goal achieved.

Wwhheeww. I though you were my AP, then saw the comment about the dog. Not me!

My previous AP did ask if I believed in ghosts. I said yes (and already knew what she was going to say). She told me that she thought a person's spirit was protecting my baby. I already felt the same thing and I even knew who the spirit probably was- my DS's grandmother. Unfortunately she passed away in 2008, but I am happy she is present in her own special way.

OP here, and I lol'ed at the ghostbusters post.
I asked MB if she believed in ghosts or thought the house might be haunted and said no, although she believes in things like that. I don't know WHAT the hell is going on in that house but tomorrow baby DC and I are going on an alllllll day adventure. My nerves can not handle anymore noises

If you believe there are spirits, then just remind yourself that you are alive and have the power to ask them to leave. Some spirits are confused and are trying to grab your attention. Very few people can actually pick up on their presence or signals. For some reason, he or she has chosen to present to you. If it bothers you stay confident and strong, ask them to leave. They were people once too

The spooky hallway is at least 10-15 degrees colder than the rest of the house. Always

I'm pretty certain two of the babies I've nannied have seen ghosts, including one of my current charges. She looks at certain spots in the room and seems to follow and interact with something. It's hard to describe but she acts like there's another person in the room. Sometimes she'll giggle or look shy. If it's a ghost, it's generally friendly and helpful (I swear it tries to cheer her up or distract her when she's upset). But years ago, another baby had a negative reaction. I was alone with her in the playroom and she was staring at the wall, her eyes followed something around the room and she became more and more upset until she was absolutely inconsolable until I removed her from the room. She acted weird and fussy in that room for days after until I got so sick of it, I actually told whatever it was to leave.

I have had this exact same thing happen! It freaked me out sooooo much. On several occasions, I would check on the nursery camera when she was supposed to be napping and she would be staring at something that would then streak across the screen. It always gave me the creeps!

All this sound so "not funny". I will ORDER those ghosts or whatever they are to LEAVE immediately

I myself enjoy a good horror movie, book, or documentary, like A Haunting and similar programs. However, if I encountered any paranormal activity in real life.... and had to deal with it daily... I think I'd flip out, lol. I mean, depending on what was actually happening that is.

I'm so glad my nanny family lives in an apartment with several residents/floor, doormen, and concierge. I'm never alone. ;P
