Got fired for taking allergy medicine RSS feed

i had a nanny job every Saturday where I watch the little girl every Saturday and on occasion I've been watching her for two years and she's almost three. Today they needed me to babysit but didn't tell me until last minute they wanted us to stay at the park the whole time (four hours) at first I said ok, but when I went outside to run errands my allergys immediately effected me badly. I contacted the mom and told her that I didn't think the park was a good idea. Her daughter has bad allergies also. Basically after that she told me if I couldn't watch her at the park she wouldn't use me. I told her that was fine but it old her she still needed to pay me for my time since I had turned down three other babysitting jobs to take hers (since she called first). She then got upset and said she didn't trust me to watch her child since I had taken allergy medicine. Please note I toke one Zytrec ( hopefully I'm spelling it right) and 1pm and didn't have to babysit until 6. Them she started talking about how can she know if I take medications all the time and She doesn't know if she an trust me. I told her if she still doesn't trust me after 2 years I don't want to watch her anymore. She then started bringing up random stuff. I feel like if all these things were issues they should have been brought up when they were noticed.

What should I do? I feel like the conversation got heated on both parts but I love this little girl

What are you talking about

Yeah pretty sure this is the nanny troll. I can never understand her horribly written posts

1. You got asked last minute but still had to turn down 3 other jobs, since this family asked first?
2. Who would keep an almost 3 year old at the park from 6pm until 10pm?

Im not a troll and everything i write is true. And no they asked me on Tuesday...After they asked me, one of my other families asked for my help tonight and a new family. Also my job needed a sub tonight badly. It was not my idea to keep her in the park it was her parents. They said they were having guests over.

zyrtec does not affect your ability to do anything. what a fucking idiot MB! i'd be so gone. she can watch her own kid on the weekends and take her to the park.

Yup and I only took one...

She's 3, no parents or nanny in their right mind would even consider being at the playground at 6pm right at dinner time, let alone staying there till 10pm so you either misunderstood the parents needs or you are our troll.

If this story is true that poor little girl has a clinically insane mother.

Zyrtec affects nothing- it doesn't make you sleepy or loopy. And no mother except the most neglectful would insist on keeping a 3yr old at the park from 6-10. Beyond crazy.

WTH?

I think this is BS. On the chance it isn't, be thankful that you don't work for a lunatic anymore.

Honestly it's not...I they told me they wanted me to keep her at the park for at least 2 hours. I told them I couldn't. Her mom is just in my eyes clueless about parenting.

So now it was only 2 hours, not 4? 2 hours isn't an unreasonable request. I've kept my charges at the park 2 hours. How is the mom clueless about parenting? I think there is more to this story (if true) I'm also wondering if you took something else instead of zyrtec because you can't even post correctly.

Duh people it is the nanny troll again. I'm starting to feel bad for her. She must really have no life
