Did you miss the part where the nanny let the kid play with the other kids toys? Wouldn’t they be more germ-ridden? [/quote

We’re not sharing nor are we playing with others toys.

So you have nothing to add here. Got it.

Yeah bring your own toys if you get upset. Stop whining and stop being lazy and tell your kid to carry the bag of toys to the park. Stop babying your kid.
Respect other people's things. Teach your toddlers, preschoolers boundaries. They can learn. They're always learning. Teach kids good manners.

sandbox is too small to let my child to play during pandemic, sadly. We only play if there are no other kids. If someone comes and they have no mask, we have to leave, unfortunately. You cannot social distance little kids, they don't understand. You people are talking as if there is no pandemic.

The OP brought their toys and shared with everyone including with the little boy whose nanny refused to share.

MB does not want kids playing within 6 feet of other kids @ playground. She’s very nervous about covid.
So the no sharing toys thing is more about not having kids close.
Is it how I run my household? Nope. But it’s her kids and her rules.

Fine but in this case the nanny allowed her charge to play with other kids toys. Not the same thing.

On Friday, a new nanny and toddler came into the playground and dumped out a huge bag of sand toys. Of course all the little ones were on those toys like white on rice and the nanny told the other kids no - that the toys were for the baby. She kept saying, “these are baby toys”. So we all backed off and redirected our kids/charges.

Why do you think she did that? Do you think the parents told her not to let anyone else play with his toys? They were just regular sand toys - in fact I dumped out the identical set for my charge. When this nanny’s charge started to play with our toys, of course we let him.

Strange, right?

Nope not strange. Mom here and I also have told my nanny not to let my daughter touch other kids toys nor share ours. Covid is still raging and now monkeypox.
Their toys their choice. Be respectful of their wishes. Not everybody has great hygiene

I think it's OK not to share but it's a bit weird to do this in a setting that implies communal behavior.

OMG, how many times does it have to pointed out that the nanny let her charge play with other kids toys!! She let her charge play with other kids toys but wouldn’t let any kids play with her charges toys.

That’s weird!
