All the nannies and parents at our playground duo out our kids toys and let everyone play with them. On Friday, a new nanny and toddler came into the playground and dumped out a huge bag of sand toys. Of course all the little ones were on those toys like white on rice and the nanny told the other kids no - that the toys were for the baby. She kept saying, “these are baby toys”. So we all backed off and redirected our kids/charges. Why do you think she did that? Do you think the parents told her not to let anyone else play with his toys? They were just regular sand toys - in fact I dumped out the identical set for my charge. When this nanny’s charge started to play with our toys, of course we let him. Strange, right?
Nope not strange. Mom here and I also have told my nanny not to let my daughter touch other kids toys nor share ours. Covid is still raging and now monkeypox. Their toys their choice. Be respectful of their wishes. Not everybody has great hygiene
OMG, how many times does it have to pointed out that the nanny let her charge play with other kids toys!! She let her charge play with other kids toys but wouldn’t let any kids play with her charges toys. That’s weird!
