There’s zero reason to use screens under 2. Between 2 and 5, minimal screens (a 2 minute clip of dancinkg kids that explains thunder and oh tiny s the extent that I do). |
Screens are fine in moderation BUT this is the nanny's job. She has one child to care for and there is no excuse for any of this. Fire her. |

Op sign up for the RayzKidz app. Add your nanny. Get supplies and have nanny do the activities listed each week on the app. It also is a calendar and schedule and chat app. So your nanny can stay in touch and know what’s going on and so can you.
Now with that. How old is your nanny? Has she Nannied before? How were here references? |

I am shocked the nanny would hang out with her husband while working for you and that he's holding your child. That's a big NO for me.
Also malls and apartments - no. This is a job. If she's bored, maybe she's not the right fit. She should be finding indoor activities and stimulating play activities for your child. Not finding ways to entertain herself (malls, hanging out with husband, etc). |
| haha, no, not the stickers, not for 18 month old, and big No to screen time. Before covid, my employers were fine with my taking the child to my apartment occasionally. We used it as a half-way stop to get to the park, then after the park I would stop at my place and use bathroom, and if it was nap time, the baby would nap at my place. It was very convenient in summer when it was too hot to walk the whole way back, so we would stop half-way at my place and cool off a bit. We had pack-n-play at my place. It was working great but like I said, parents were fine with the arrangement and it was pre-covid. |
