Very few nannies actually even use care.com, it is just not the place to look for a job. $25 is a minimum, like a bottom rate in this area, and many nannies will pass the job. It is still a nanny market out there. $18 is unheard of in my nanny world.

Do you mean the au pairs who stay after their au pair year ends and try to work when they are not authorized to do so, or the rules themselves?

My friend used to use her tax ID for parents filling out taxes. The tax ID number is the only legal thing an undocumented person can have and work with. She paid her taxes every year without any help from the families. And she never got money back. Thanks to that she always paid her taxes she has papers and is doing better now

Anyone can do background check, just put the tax ID number there. But just having good references is enough.
