Mom is crazy, right? RSS feed

The mom cancelled last minute...then oh! look! The mom cancelled TWICE last minute. Then look! the mom cancelled twice in ONE WEEK last minute. Sure, OP....

OP here. It sounds like you're ready to start an argument based on nothing. She did cancel twice in one week, and both times it was last minute. I haven't ever worked for her, so this is all I have to go by. And her previous babysitter smoked, and she let her babysit again because the babysitter cried when she told her she found another babysitter (me). She canceled for Thursday night and Saturday night.

Cut your losses and move on.

Yes OP this Mother does sound crazy for canceling just because you did not respond to her text for two hours.

It would annoy me if she is one of those people that expect you to always be “on,” like have your phone glued to your hip every second.

You dodged a bullet here.
Do not agree to babysit for her in the future.
But I think you already know that.

OP here. She changed the pay two times already. She's nuts. Glad I got away.

OP is an immature drama Queen - I wouldn’t want you to watch my kids either.

OP here. Nope. I expect to be treated well because I am mature. Canceling, changing the pay, and expecting me always to be near my phone is ridiculous. I told her it wasn't a good fit and moved on.

Doesn't matter if she looks at her phone or not if plan was already made.

If I were OP I would feel flattered that YOU wouldn't want me. That's a compliment.

We don't know the entire story. She could have had several babysitters flake on her, YOU could have flaked on her, she may have wanted to shift the time, etc.

Plenty of unknown factors. But sure, post about someone being 'crazy' on an anonymous forum. Feel better?

“Crazy nurse mom has entered the chat…”

OP here. I was going to babysit for her that evening. And her text was only a good morning GIF. It wasn't a message asking if we're still okay? And her last babysitter smoked in her house, so I think she called that crazy person back! This is the second time she's canceled on me the same day. I don't check my phone every 2 hours. I'm not like that.

She’s crazy. You know this. Don’t babysit for her again.

If she is taking a zumba class and go straight to swim nope.

Nobody goes from Zumba straight to swim.

Sounds like you dodge a bullet OP

Nobody? I DO. And Sometimes I do steam room and go straight to swim. It's my gym relaxing time. No phones near me!

You don't go to your locker (where your phone is) and change clothes between Zumba and swim?

OK, that's weird.

Zumba to swim without rinsing/changing would be strange. However, pp said steam to swim, and that’s relatively normal.
