Agreed. How do you even shop with 4 and 5 year old during covid? During a separate time?

On the weekend.

Many people work more than 40 hours. Others want coverage so they can go run or exercise in other ways without having to take the kids (many do it before kids get up).

So, you see your kid an hour a day? WHY did you even have kids? Family expectation /cultural pressure?

Mainly just to piss you off.

Have you already had a week off paid this year?
What did you agree to as far as vacation?

I agree that for many women here, the word "mom" needs to go in quotation marks.

During quiet time? Put everything into an online cart for pick up, pay, take kids in the car, employees load the trunk while the nanny talks/plays with kids. Unload at home.

I’m a nanny who typically works 40-80 hour weeks... Work, exercise and travel are the top three reasons for needing a nanny over 40 hours per week.

Don't look back. I can't imagine trying to strong-arm our nanny into coming on vacation with us. She has a life!

Do you ask the same things of families whose children are at daycare from 6 am to 6.30pm? What about families utilizing every minute of before and aftercare to support the childcare school provides? Or are you only interested in targeting families who can afford nannies?

Nanny duties should include caring for a child or children only.

Not working as a cook, laundress, housekeeper or personal assistant.

You people are so tiresome. OP's kids are older, not infants. There is no reason she can't also do those other things if she is willing to do so. When our kids got older we gave our nanny the option of leaving to find a family with younger kids or taking some additional duties around the house while they kids were in preschool. She chose to stay. That's fine if you chose differently, but to act like NO NANNY WILL EVER DO THESE THINGS EVER is ridiculous.

My guess is it's either posted by someone who has kids in daycare and they're jealous of moms with nannies, or it's from a stay at home mom who wishes she had a job.

Kids who only see their mom an or 2 day are the whining kids you occasionally see out and about. What a skewed view of parenthood these "parents" are demonstrating. They really don't like/didn't want their kids.
