They have already shown that they have NO desire to follow the law--why do you think they will follow their employer's rules?
Probably one of the dumbest statements I've read. Someone who is fleeing an oppressed country or is looking for better economic opportunities for their family doesn't mean they have no respect for any law.

You’re right. It means they have no respect for the US laws and neither do their employers. It’s sucks for the people following the rules.

I respectfully suggest that you are greatly oversimplifying the issue of illegal immigration in this country.

PS PP maybe be grateful that you are in a position to be able to follow the rules. They are not always the same for everyone.

All they have to do is go home. Problem solved.

Yikes!
My best friend came here legally when she was 5. Her parents were here for work. She had to go home when she turned 31 I believe. Her family was ripped off by a shady lawyer. It's not so simple. She knows nothing about her country on the other side of the world.

We hired an undocumented Nanny. She was awesome, and we paid her under the table in CASH. She only charged 12.00 an hour and was amazing with our kids.

She appreciated the extra money, and we appreciated not being crushed by the nannies on these forms. Sheesh 21.00 an hour in DC YIKES!!

Why? Bc I’m not ok with taking advantage of illegal immigrants by paying them under the table so that you can save money. Sorry not sorry. If you employee an illegal nanny you suck.

You’re right they aren’t. However the rule is pretty simple when you are legal, employee a legal nanny and pay the proper taxes. It’s not ok to employ an illegal nanny. You understand the rules and choose to break them. You don’t get sympathy by taking advantage of an illegal employee.

No offense, but i refuse to spend more money then I have to during a crisis. I am not taking advantage of an illegal immigrant, without me, they wouldn't have any job or way to feed their family.

Look, if your job an be done by someone cheaper, that means your skills are not competitive and you are trying to leverage an artificial supply/demand curve to support high prices.

NO thanks.

Wow.
It appears no one on here knows how to follow instructions!!

The OP specifically requested that this not be about illegal immigration or debates, yet no one is respecting her wishes.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

SMH.

PP here and I totally understand the whole trying to game the tax system complaint the other poster was referrering to or respect for the law it was more painting illegal immigrants in a broad stroke who actually provide so many vital services in this country. I mean let's face facts here. Unless you are an Indigenous American you are also an immigrant no matter what your legal status is.

Exactly. When someone is willing to throw rules out the window, why should we respect her rules? OP has already decided that rules/laws/"wishes" can be ignored.
