Law enforcement, therapist, mechanics, grocery store associates.

Those who work in banks, deliver mail, military personnel, crossing guards, city bus drivers and trash pick up

Anyone considered essential is trying to employ a nanny right now so they go to work. Also, most governors recognize that teleworking parents can work effectively if they’re trying to take care of kids at the same time. Which is why most places with SIP are allowing nannies without restriction.

In VA daycare centers are also allowed to stay open.

Wrong PP, you can only have your daycare open or have childcare if you have parents who are essential workers or on the frontline. I just saw an article today about it.

Childcare is an essential service. No matter who provides it-parents, caregivers, teachers, drs, grandparents, etc.

Daycare is only open for essential services. In-home childcare is available for everyone (most states, very few say essential employees only can have in-home help). Unless you have a link to support your statement that dc, md or va is no longer allowing in-home childcare for non-essential employees, please refrain from spreading misinformation.

That's the thing about childcare. When you do it, it's important and difficult. When someone else does it's a cushy job.
