Dear God, shut up! You just embarrass yourself with your CONSTANT bile-filled posts. We all know exactly who you are - and you are the most unhappy, miserable woman alive. Seriously - get help. |
It’s most definitely sad that in 2019 people have no idea how to use simple and convenient technology and can’t decide between check or cash. It’s also sad that you took offense. Life is hard for you, sorry can’t relate. |
Neither of you must not have Wells Fargo or Capital One accounts. Both have been hacked. I’ve never had an issue with PayPal, Venmo or Cash app. Find them all much easier when sending money instead of both cash and check. But I like convenience, some people don’t. |
Np...disagree. And you sound a bit on the crazy side, and your post is also what you call, “bile-filled.” Take a Xanax and chill. Christmas is the same time every year. The poster knew they wanted to give money. There are plenty of options out there on how to handle money. This is a non issue and waste of a thread. |
At least half of my relatives don’t have smart phones still. Every single one has a checkbook. My brother technically has a debit card, but he doesn’t use it and would have to find it. OP is well within her rights to offer a check or say that cash will have to wait til after Christmas. |
You don’t need a smartphone for PayPal or Venmo. Never said OP wasn’t within her rights (wouldn’t suggest waiting until after the holidays). Just that it’s sad simple technology is hard to grasp. Even more sad people still try to use checks when they aren’t convenient at all. |
Who the F cares?! The question is check vs cash - it’s not a treatise on financial technology!
OP, a check is fine under the circumstances. |
Wow. You care as you are butthurt. Calm down. |
No, not “butthurt” just supremely irritated by idiotic posters on a simple, straightforward thread question. |
Criminetly! Checks aren’t inconvenient! If you bank online, it’s a simple matter of depositing it online. If you use the atm, you deposit it there. And if you prefer to go inside, you deposit inside! Or you send it through the mail. I use USAA. I believe there are 4 physical locations, not that I’ve ever seen one. For a check, I can deposit online, through the mail or through an atm. Certainly, if I can figure this out, so can others. Oh, and I don’t know about your relatives, but my comment about at least half not having a smartphone was indicative of all/most technology... I still get plenty of checks from my relatives, because they are still prevalent (outside the dmv bubble). Some people may do everything online, others don’t even have WiFi or a computer. |
Yeah still butthurt and angry. No one is making you read and post. Carry on. |
Yeah your whole rant just shows how inconvenient checks are. |
I don’t get how they are inconvenient.
Don’t all banks have apps hat you can just take a photo and deposit it? Or do you use check cashing places? |
