This annual thread always makes me feel unappreciated and like my employers just don’t care but I’m grateful I at least have a job and happy for all of you! |
I’m sorry, PP. |
I don’t think that most people are lying because I actually have heard of these types of gifts being given to nannies by affluent, generous parents. |
I don’t think anyone is lying on this thread. |
I gave my nanny two week's salary plus a gift from the Bodyshop that my kids picked out, plus she gets 7 days off that aren't part of her vacation allotment. No reason for me to lie on an anonymous forum. |
Maybe not- The family I was with until last year, was SOOOO generous. I used to get very expensive (designer) gifts from them. Plus my Christmas bonus. The one I'm with this year, just gave me $400 (cash) and a happy holiday card. I'm still thankful for that. |
I don’t think anyone is lying. I certainly am not. |
I think everyone is lying |
You are wrong. At least in my case. Please stop this nonsense. |
Chubby troll! You’re back! Ran out of cookies so soon? You always start trolling when your junk food runs out. |
Most jobs don’t give bonuses or presents. |
^^^^ Not true.
However for extended goodwill, if a company truly values its employees, it will offer bonuses as a token of appreciation on a job well done. |
Most jobs aren’t involved with actually raising another human being. |
You must be the poster from the other thread who thinks $22/hr for a share is perfect. We all know the kind of holiday “gifts” you would give your nanny. Go troll somewhere else. |
We gave our nanny two weeks’ bonus, a nice gift set from Sephora and DD made a small Christmas craft for her. In the past, we gave her one week’s bonus and she was very surprised and happy to get two. We love our nanny and are very grateful for her. |
