We have mutual friends so I went in trusting mom a little more than I should’ve I suppose. I wrote a contract out and sent it to them myself and it was supposed to be gone over and signed once I arrived. This was my first nanny job so I guess I didnt think you cover the basis the way I would a regular job.

Yeah, don't let the "mutual friends" thing affect your money, ever. Get out and get a new job with a contract that is SIGNED before beginning work.
