A month's severance is absurd, unless it's in the contract. Two weeks is fine. |
Two just weeks is unfair. This nanny did nothing wrong and took the job in good faith. It takes more than two weeks to find a new job. Anything less than a month is simply wrong. -MB |

How many MBs have been let go with no fault and received no severance? I got three months severance plus healthcare insurance for three months. |
+1. I’ve never been let go but my company gives several months for layoffs. DH is a college instructor and his colleagues get a full semester’s pay when their departments are cut. I feel bad for anyone - parent or nanny - who gets less than a month or two to get back on their feet. |
