My 3yo twins regularly walk 2-3 miles in one outing. You needed to start this in the spring and gradually have them walk a larger stretch of each outing. I call it spring training each year. We start out with a double stroller but I will have them each walk the first 2 blocks and the last 2 blocks, then we switch to a single stroller and they take turns, then we leave the stroller and they can have a piggy back for one block each in the middle somewhere. Then we say no more piggybacks and they walk the rest of the summer.

Thanks everyone!

Excellent advice.
Unfortunately I cannot step away from this job yet.

I need the income both this month AND next.
Once the job finishes at the end of August, I will be registering with a local Nanny agency.

Some parents hold irrational fears that a child cannot be harmed in any vehicle if driven by anyone except themselves.

Which is totally flawed logic.
Lots of people die on the roads every single day....
Due to no fault of their own.
We see this all the time on the news.

Why would any family not let theirnanny do any driving is beyond me!
They would much prefer their kids walk in extreme heat while their nanny gets bored more each and every day.

All because of an irrational fear.

Sounds exactly like my old job!
To make matters worse the kids turned really really spoiled and yelled commands at me all day long and I had to do what they wanted, wasn’t allowed to say no or make them cry. I wasn’t allowed to take them out
And, when it was hot outside, mom didn’t want kids to go out bc they were not allowed to sweat, you know like play soccer baseball and sweat like millions of kids do in camps every single day
Anyways it became hell, I ended up getting anxiety and just looked for a new job. Found a beautiful little boy, take him out to libraries parks, pool... we have so much fun
Save up money and start looking for a new job, don’t wait! Go to interviews now
Have a job A and back up job B
Save money just on case or have a financial plan if a new job doesn’t work out
You’ll regret the longer you wait
I never had anxiety up until then, now I’m regretting not to leave earlier
